Why Nord

The Nord family has been making a profound impact on Napa Valley wine making for more than 40 years. A pioneer in Napa Valley vineyard management, Will Nord came to the Napa Valley in 1968 with a Masters Degree in Agricultural Education. Over the ensuing years, he taught many of the early Napa Valley vintners at the secondary and collegiate levels, and while establishing the Viticulture program at Napa Valley College. Today Nord Vineyard Services is one of the premier Napa Valley vineyard management companies.

In 2000, the family ventured into winemaking by launching Nord Estate Wines, which produces artisan-crafted (small lots, by hand) Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, and more. Nord wines are available at select retail outlets nationwide, through their web site, and, selectively, at The Wine Country Inn.
