Taste the Grapes

Sure, wine tasting at a winery is fun and educational. But we wanted to offer our guests something… different. So we brainstormed with our friends at Nord Vineyards and came up with the exciting idea to taste the grapes that go into making the wines, and THEN taste the wines. You’ll enjoy meeting the Nord family, too. The Nords own or manage approximately 900 acres of Napa Valley vineyards. They are environmentally conscious and have won state-wide awards for both their sustainability and worker support programs.

After we’ve toured the vineyard and tasted the grapes, we’ll have a picnic lunch and… taste some Nord wines. We can’t think of anything else that says “Napa Valley” better than a picnic and wine tasting right in a vineyard. We can’t wait, and hope to make this an annual event with our Nord family friends.

Here’s a quick itinerary:

10:30 a.m. - Depart Wine Country Inn via shuttle bus
11:00 a.m. - Grape tasting and vineyard tour with Nord family
12:30 p.m. - Picnic lunch from Oakville Grocery*
12:30 p.m. - Wine tasting with the Nord family
1:30 p.m. - Depart for Wine Country Inn
